Question: How do I get my 2D image engraved into a 3D image?
Our highly skilled and trained designers are working with the latest software and laser technology for image conversion. Just give us the idea and we’ll do the rest.

Question: How does the laser process work?
The laser is focused into the glass, in the focal point the energy is so high that the structure is changed at a small point. The laser beam is computer controlled, an image made of a thousand small points is the outcome. This laser process is the so-called "Vitrography".

Question: How do I order online?
Simply click the 3D Photo Laser menu button. Step 1, choose your crystal shape. Step 2, customize your order by uploading the picture that you would like to be engraved into the crystal. You also have the option to add two lines of text, for example, " I Love You Mom", then choose a font style for that text. After selecting your engraving style, you may add a light base color, which will light up the image inside the crystal. Put in the quantity you would like to order and add any special instructions if needed. Click on Continue which will bring you to the Check Out page to complete your order.

Question: How do I send my digital photo to you?
You can simply upload your picture by clicking on the "Upload Picture" button. A window will open allowing you to browse through images stored on your computer. It is the same process as when you are uploading a picture to your email. You can upload up to three pictures.

Question: How do I cancel an order?
Personalized orders can only be canceled before they are processed by either telephone or email.

Question: What image file types can I upload?
Our system can process almost any image file type. Common file types include - JPG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and PNG.

Question: Will the background of my photo be etched too?
When you choose Flat crystal - Yes it will; if you choose any other crystal, our designers will remove the background from the original image and center the figures in order to create the best 3D model which result in a perfect laser-etched crystal.

Question: How do I know that you received my order?
You will receive confirmation from us by email as soon as your order is received as well as on the day your order is shipped. Our shipping confirmation includes tracking numbers with quick links to UPS for easy tracking.

Question: What shipping methods are available?
Standard Shipping & Handling includes insurance. Orders are shipped by default via UPS Ground which generally arrives within 2-6 business days AFTER we processed your order. The order process is the number of days we need to produce your order before it is shipped, usually is within 3-5 business days.
Saturday & Sunday shipping or delivery is not available.

There are express shipping methods available such as UPS 3 days, UPS Second Day AIr and UPS Next Day Air. You'll be able to upgrade the shipping method to one of the express shipping at the checkout page. When you choose the express shipping the order process will take 1-3 business days.

Question: Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Unfortunately, our site is not supporting it yet, but you can order by e-mail. Please note that the Free Shipping promotion is available only within the States.

Question: What payments do you accept?
We accept PayPal, and major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Question: Why was my credit card transaction declined?
There are several reasons why you may get an error message that your transaction was declined. Check to see that the phone number, zip code or CVW number from the back of the card is correct. You can simply go back a page and retry or contact customer service.

Question: How do I redeem your store coupon?
Enter the coupon code in the Coupon Code box on the checkout page and click on Submit. The discount will then be applied to your order. Only one coupon may be used per order.

Question: What is your return policy?
We are confident that our products will meet or exceed your expectations though we do offer a 15-day return or replacement on all online purchases for products that have defects. Re-shipping charges will be applied to all replacements. Returned items must be in their original condition and packaging. Contact us to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number in order to ensure proper credit for returns.

Question: Do you store my credit card information?
No, we do not store your credit card information. Your credit card number is only captured during the check out process while our system "talks" to our payment processing gateway. It is not stored in our system.

Question: Is it safe to purchase online from your site?
The transfer of sensitive information on Looxisfl.com is always protected against theft or misuse. When purchasing online, a solid key with a locked padlock icon will appear in the lower left of your browser window, indicating that your transaction session is secured through Secure Socket Layer SSL Certificate.

Question: Is my information safe?
The security of your personal information is very important to us. We will never sell or rent your personal information to any third parties under any circumstances. We value your trust and will work hard to protect the security and privacy of any personal information you provide to us for our sole use.

Question: Are the transparent blocks made out of plastic or glass?
The 3D Facescans are lasered into blocks of high-quality optical glass. It is the same quality as the glass for telescope lenses, such as those from NASA.

Question: How does the laser process work?

Question: Who invented this, to display a human face in 3D in a glass block by means of laser?
LOOXIS is the inventor of the 3D Portrait in the glass. On the industrial trade fair in Hannover (Germany) in April 1999, we have a laser for the first time worldwide a 3D Face into a high-quality glass cube.

Question: Is it possible to make a 3D portrait from a photo?

Question: Can you compare the 3D objects in the glass with a hologram?
The only similarity of the 3D subsurface engraving with a hologram is the three-dimensional representation of objects. The effect, that a face seems to watch the viewer while you move the hologram, can be observed also with a 3D faces can in glass: simply look at the glass block from the backside and slightly move the glass block.

Question: Will the image vanish inside the glass or will it change color?
The image stays the same in its brilliance and appearance. It will not turn yellow or change its look. The picture stays in the glass for eternity. Except, if you should heat it to over 500°.

Question: How long does the process take?
The 3D Facescan doesn't take longer than a second. The laser process of the 3D Facescan takes about 4 minutes.

Question: Can you laser our company logo in 3D into the glass?
Yes, simple logos and graphics, which are not made of complex color gradients and which are not a two-dimensional illustration of a 3D object, can be simply extruded and lasered into the glass in three dimensions. You can find further information by clicking
